Welcome to Manteca Unified School District

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!  Last year, the Manteca Unified community, “Embraced the Race” and began to transform learning in the classroom by implementing technology.  Our teachers talked about the changing relationship between teaching and learning and how we need to prepare our students. While our students reside in the Central Valley of California, we need to prepare them for their global future.  The journey for our students began last school year with computer devices. While we as a District and community continue to focus on preparing our students for their global future, I want to challenge each and every one of you to embrace the notion that “The Sky is the Limit.”

I am proud of the staff, students and community that make up Manteca Unified.  I am proud to share with others throughout the state, nation and across the world all of the amazing accomplishments of our staff and students in our District.

To me, the notion of “The Sky is the Limit” denotes those times in life when we or those around us exceed expectations.  It is when our students win a league championship, compete in the state spelling bee, and shoot a satellite they built a mile into the sky.  To me, the “The Sky is the Limit” is represented daily by our staff as they teach students new concepts, keep them safe, feed them during the summer, prepare a safe ball field for Friday nights, or simply encourage them to do their best.  While I could take several more minutes or thousands of words and share with you all those accomplishments from this past year, I would rather encourage you to reflect on the personal accomplishments of yourself, your children, or your students.  Take a moment and share some of those celebrations with us on our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/proudtobemusd.

If you are new to MUSD…Welcome! Manteca Unified is a great district where, in partnership with our diverse communities, we are dedicated to all students achieving their academic and personal potentials.  We are committed to providing a safe environment where quality education establishes the foundation for life-long learning.   Whether new to MUSD or returning, we should all look forward to an exciting, challenging and fulfilling year where we all embrace the notion that for our staff, students, and community…

“The Sky is the Limit!”
