Disney’s The Little Mermaid, the musical and fantastical story of a mermaid living under the sea who falls in love with a Prince living on land, was told by the Weston Ranch High School Performing Arts Department for four nights of packed crowds.

On April 27th and 28th, Manteca High Schools gathered together to watch the annual Every 15 Minutes program. Every 15 Minutes, also referred to as E15, is a two-day program that focuses on high school seniors by challenging them to think about drinking, driving, personal safety, the responsibility that comes with being a mature young adult, and how their decisions can impact their family, friends, and community.

On April 27th and 28th, be.tech students took part in the Every 15 minutes program. E-15 is a program designed to showcase the effects of driving under the influence of alcohol and the lasting impact it can have on you and your family.

MUSD believes in “Making a positive difference to each and every student daily.” This statement was adopted by our school board as “WHY” we are in public education. The new California School Dashboard provides every district a quick snapshot on how we are doing in making a positive difference for ALL our children. We look forward to utilizing this new tool in our daily efforts to make positive change for the children in Manteca Unified.

Manteca Unified School District Teachers selected as NASA Airborne Astronomy Ambassadors (AAA) by the SETI Institute
The SETI Institute announced selection of eight Manteca Unified School District teachers along with the NGSS District Coordinator, Lisa Snyder as part of the cohort of 39 teachers for the NASA Airborne Astronomy Ambassadors (AAA) program, a one-of-a-kind professional development experience for teachers.

Be.tech’s culinary academy has officially placed in the Skills USA competition and will be heading to the state competition in April. These students have been staying after school twice a week since January in order to prepare for this competition. Their hard work has definitely payed off.

Imagine traveling the United States in one day, students at Great Valley did exactly that—with an imaginary vacation. The fifth graders in Elda Rodriguez's class created state tri-folds to display their research. This project allowed the students to apply real life skills—like using math to stay within a budget.

On Monday, February 27th, East Union High School held their annual Winter Sports Banquet. The event is held to commend all winter sports teams at the end of their season; especially the student athletes for their hard work and dedication to their team.
