Evaluations-page-001

Manteca Unified School District considers employee evaluations to be a critical component in individual professional growth.  Below you will find the process related specifically to your position.

Probationary Employees:

  • Employees holding preliminary or clear credentials are probationary for two years. Employees holding Waivers, Provisional Intern Permits, or Short-Term Staff Permits are probationary until they earn a minimum of a clear credential.

  • Employees can expect a minimum of three formal observations, and possible walk-throughs.

  • Each observation includes a pre-conference, an observation and a post-conference.

  • Employees are evaluated each year.

Permanent Employees:

  • Employees can expect a minimum of two formal observations and possible walk-throughs.

  • Each observation may include a pre-conference, an observation, and a post-conference.

  • Employees are evaluated every other year.

  • After 10 years of successful teaching/evaluations in MUSD, with NCLB compliance, and with agreement from both the employee and the evaluator, the employee may be eligible for the 5-Year Evaluation Agreement, which calls for evaluations once every five years.  Either party may cancel the 5-Year Evaluation Agreement for any reason at any time.
