     f. Unofficial Transcripts

2. Click on "Outreach"

3. Click on "Employment"

4. Click on the EdJoin banner.

5. Choose the position of interest.

6. Click on "Click Here to Apply"

7. Log in and submit your application and attachments.

 

1. Candidates who meet the prescreening requirements will be contacted via email or telephone call for an interview.

2. Candidates not selected for an interview will be notified by email.

INTERVIEW

1. If contacted for an interview, come to the Human Resources Department a few minutes before the scheduled interview start time.

2. A reference check will be conducted after the interview for selected candidates.

3. Candidates selected for hire will be notified by telephone.

4. Candidates not selected for hire will be notified through email.

 

1. Bring to the Human Resources office your driver's license, social security card, TB test results, copies of all test scores, and order official transcripts.

2. Fingerprint packet will be emailed to you. Follow directions on form to make an appointment at San Joaquin County Office of Education .

3. First time teachers will be given a health form to be completed by their physician. Experienced teachers will be given a "Verification of Experience" form.

3. Once sign-ups are completed and all required forms have been submitted, you are ready to begin working in MUSD!

   Become a Substitute Teacher!

  • Hold a valid credential or be prepared to obtain a substitute teaching permit

    • Manteca Unified School District is a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing approved program sponsor. We can initiate the permit on your behalf or you can complete the application yourself at http://www.ctc.ca.gov.

  • Complete the online application form

    • Scan and attach:

      • Resume

      • Two letters of recommendation (at least one from a supervisor)

      • Credential or substitute teaching permit

  • Clear fingerprinting

  • Provide results of passing the California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST)

  • Provide results of TB test

  • Provide official college transcripts

  • Attend mandatory Human Resources/payroll sign-ups and substitute training

TRAINING 

1. Follow directions on form to make an appointment at San Joaquin County Office of Education to have fingerprints taken.

2. Upon fingerprint clearance, applicants will be contacted about Human Resources/Payroll sign-ups and training.

Bring all of the following:

1. Attend mandatory New Substitute Teacher Training

2. Learn job expectations and get your questions answered.

3. Within 5 days applicants will be entered into Smart Find.

4. Have your photo taken for an ID badge and be ready to substitute teach!

Are You Interested in Coaching?

   1.   Talk to the coaching staff at the school site. If you are interested in an available Head Coach position, please  submit an application on EDJOIN.
           

  2.    If the school site decides to utilize you, they will ask the  Human Resources Dept. to prepare the necessary paperwork.

  3.   When instructed by the school site, come to the Human Resources Dept. at the District Office and pick up your coaching packet 
         and instructions.

  • You will need to bring a picture ID when you come to get your packet.
  • You will be required to fill out an information form for the District, which you can turn in before you leave Human Resources.
  • You will receive a Livescan form for fingerprinting in the packet. You will be instructed to make an appt. to get your fingerprints done at the San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) and informed when they have cleared.
  •  If you are going to be a paid coach (receive a stipend) you will also need to bring in your Social Security Card (not a copy), verification of negative Tuberculosis (TB), and fill out a payroll packet.
