Choices and Consequences
Students partipcated in Choices and Consequences, a DUI prevention program, where they witnessed an actual sentencing hearing conduct by the Honoraboe Judge Vlavianos. Stundents get to witness first hand what the consequences of driving under the influence can be. At the end of the hearing there is an interactive session with the judge and attorneys where they answer questions from students. Students also get to hear from a “prison panel” where prisoners from Folsom and Central CA Women’s Facility are live streamed and inmates share their stories. Seniors visit Modesto Junior CollegeSeniors from New Vision High School had the opportunity to get a glimpse into what college would be like when they visited Modesto Junior College. Students got a tour of the campus along with some hands on experience with a few of the programs offered at the college.
