Dear Student,

We are so pleased that you considering Manteca Adult School as a means for furthering your education. We know that making a choice to come back to school is challenging, and we are delighted to offer you an opportunity to continue learning. Whether you are coming to learn English, to further your career, or to just expand your knowledge, we are happy to serve.

There have been a lot of changes in the adult school program. Funding from the state has given us the opportunity to grow our program to meet student needs. The government of California has recognized the need for adult schools to offer career and college pathways to adults. With that in mind, Manteca Adult School is changing. We are offering certification programs as well as English as a Second Language, digital learning, and educational foundation programs. We will continue to offer high school diploma opportunities and support for those adults who would like to take the GED® or HiSET® High School Equivalency assessments.

You will notice that we are also moving to an online registration program. We will continue to offer registration in our office in addition to our digital program. Moreover, there is a lot of information that we are seeking as you register. This is in response to our new state funding. To maintain and grow our funding opportunities, the state is requiring that we collect information from our students and then monitor our students’ successes. This information is, as always, confidential.

As our funding continues to grow, so will Manteca Adult School. We are partners in the Delta Sierra Regional Alliance, an organization that works with local adult schools, San Joaquin Delta College, and many local businesses in order to create college and career pathways. Please visit http://deltasierraadulted.org for more information.

Manteca Adult School is on the verge of becoming a center of learning for careers in the logistics field. We are working with JM Equipment in Manteca and offering hands-on training in forklift certification and scissor and boom lift certification. Additionally, we are offering OSHA safety training programs to support our local industry sector needs. Our logistics program will continue to expand as we work with local industry experts.

We are working with Manteca Unified School District as well.  Our population is growing and we know there is a need for support in our schools. Paraprofessionals are essential to student success and Manteca Unified is actively seeking aides for our classrooms. We are offering single session classes to assist those who would like to pass the Paraprofessional 1 test and become a paraprofessional for Manteca Unified.

We are continuing to offer courses that allow for personal growth as well. Yoga, guitar, computer, and welding courses are all available to you for a nominal fee.

Finally, we have included a survey in our catalog. We want to know what you are interested in. We would appreciate your input as we continue to grow.

Thank you again for considering Manteca Adult School as your educational resource.  We are so happy to welcome you back to school.
